Suits Against Tobacco Firms

I have just read about the suit being placed against R.J. Reynolds by Elayne Galbraith upon the death of her husband John.
I am 62 years old. I have smoked since I was 10 years old. I have had heart surgery and severe emphysema. I am also on oxygen. I will not give up smoking because that is one thing I really enjoy. Why take the one thing of life that you enjoy away from you?
I will not stop smoking just because someone tells me it is bad for you. Anything can be bad for you.
Overweight can kill you just as fast as smoking. Is everyone going to start suing all the food companies because someone died from overweight?
