BEIRUT — Gun battles and shelling broke out today throughout Beirut’s neighborhoods, including the low-income Christian district where a car bomb killed 15 people a day earlier.
As rescue workers dug into the bomb-devastated block in Sadd El-Boushrieh searching for more victims, rockets fired by Muslim gunners crashed into the area.
