James Thomsen, a former Wilderness Experience president who holds a 14.2% stake, heads a group trying to wrest control of the 10-year-old Chatsworth company from Chairman Greg Thomsen, his brother, according to a proxy mailed Wednesday. The dissident group has nominated a slate of four directors for election to the five-member board. Greg Thomsen, with a 32% stake, said he will fight to retain control of the company.
