Resorts International bought a stake in Pan Am.

The casino operator said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it has purchased 8.84%, or 9.1 million shares, of the outstanding stock in Pam Am Corp. for investment purposes. It said that “depending on a variety of factors,” it did not have any plans to increase its stake to more than 10%. Pan Am had no immediate comment.
