Angered by TV Set on the Blink, 4 Men Blast It With Guns

SEATTLE — Four men were arrested today after apparently becoming upset with a TV on the blink and blasting it with a shotgun and .38-caliber pistol, authorities said.
King County Police received a report at 2:48 a.m. of shots being fired in an area just north of the city limits, said police spokesman Dick Larson.
He said four men, ranging in age from about 25 to early 30s, told officers that they had gone to a tavern the night before, and when they returned home found their television set malfunctioning, “so they all took turns shooting it.”
No one was injured, but “the TV isn’t expected to live,” Larson said “We’ve got Acme repair service coming out to do an autopsy.”
