San Francisco police are looking for a thief with unusually strong arms--or, perhaps, one with a deep addiction to electronic arcade games--in connection with the latest “Brink’s Job,” which involved the theft of $54,000 in quarters. Sometime between 5 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 a.m. Sunday, police spokesman Ed Wynkoop said, someone apparently broke in through the roof of a Brink’s office in the Potrero Hill District, unlocked the garage doors and backed a truck or van into the office. Investigators explained that they are sure such a vehicle was used, because no one could just walk away with the loot. “Even getting the truck loaded would be a lot of work,” Wynkoop said. The 216,000 quarters weigh 2,700 pounds.
