George E. Anderson has been named president and chief executive of First Interstate Financial Services Inc., the Newport Beach-based consumer-finance subsidiary of First Interstate Bancorp. He replaces Bill L. Pond, who resigned.
The Los Angeles-based bank holding company also announced that A. Wayne Johnson has been named president and chief executive of First Interstate Bancard Co., its credit-card processing subsidiary in Simi Valley. The position is newly created.
