Pasadena Planned Parenthood will open a new birth-control clinic this fall in the Alhambra Health District, which includes Alhambra, Rosemead, San Gabriel, Temple City, Monterey Park, South Pasadena and San Marino. According to the Los Angeles Regional Family Planning Council, the district has the fourth-highest unmet need for family planning services in the county, with an estimated 18,000 low-income women in need of such services. The cost of opening the clinic is $120,000, agency officials said.
