H.J. Heinz said that net income totaled $81.5 million during the first quarter of 1985, up 13.2% from a year earlier. The Pittsburgh-based company said revenue for the quarter ended July 31 was $1.04 billion, a gain of 2.6%. The company attributed the increased revenue, in part, to a 5% increase in unit volume.
