Two men were killed Sunday night when an oncoming car crossed the median and struck the motorcycle they were riding.
The passenger on the motorcycle, Gabriel Espino, 28 ,of Vista, was killed immediately when the car struck the cycle head on.
The motorcycle driver, Salvador Cuevas, 19, of Valley Center, was taken to Palomar Hospital where he died in surgery at 2:55 a.m. Monday, coroner’s deputies said.
The two victims were traveling northbound on Cole Grade Road just north of West Oak Glenn road in Pauma Valley when they were struck by the oncoming vehicle.
The driver of the car, Phillip Hotchkiss, 25, of Pauma Valley, is listed in stable condition at Palomar Hospital where he is recovering from minor injuries.
