Fillmore quarterback Larry Roberts fumbled on his team’s 46-yard line. Moorpark nose guard Jeff Orford recovered to set up the Muskateers’ first score. . . . Fillmore’s only touchdown was set up on a bad punt snap that Moorpark punter Charlie Sullenbarger dived on at his own 18. That set up Fillmore’s only touchdown. . . . Moorpark QB Tim Rothanzl scored on a 10-yard run for the deciding touchdown midway through the third quarter. The drive was set up by his own interception at the Fillmore 47.
KEY PLAYERS
Fullback Oscar Love (M) gained 95 yards and scored three touchdowns on 22 carries. Tim Rothanzl (M) gained 48 yards on four carries, but completed only two of 17 passing attempts for no yardage. Larry Roberts (F) had nine carries for 83 yards in less than two quarters. He was kicked out of the game in the second quarter for a personal foul. The Moorpark defensive line--Jeff Orford, Ramee Hijaz, Joey Eddik and Jesse Stanley--allowed Fillmore only 44 yards in the second half.
