Thousand Oaks’ Dan Nagelmann completed passes of 12 and 23 yards to Mike Trevathan to set up a one-yard TD run by Rod Stevens early in the fourth quarter. Ricky Strickland returned an interception 24 yards for a TD on the next play for the eventual winning score. Arcadia’s Brad Scott hit Doug Cline with a 73-yard TD pass to narrow the Lancers’ lead to 17-12 with 2:51 left in the game.
KEY PLAYERS
Ricky Strickland (TO) intercepted two passes, setting up one TD and scoring another with the return. Mike Trevathan (TO) caught five passes for 98 yardsand intercepted one pass. Dan Nagelmann (TO) completed 7 of 18 passes for 118 yards. Doug Cline (A) caught five passes for 125 yards and Brad Scott (A) completed 10 of 23 passes for 182 yards and one TD, but was intercepted four times.
