The “Year of the Dragon” is not a racist film. It is just the latest in a long series of movies (“Dog Day Afternoon”; “Taking of Pelham One Two Three”; “Godfather” and “Escape From New York”) that depict New Yorkers as obnoxious punks.
The film industry treats all New Yorkers alike.
