Faulty Water Readings Keep Nuclear Plant Closed

SHOREHAM, N.Y. — The Long Island Lighting Co.’s Shoreham nuclear power plant remained closed Saturday while crews investigated the cause of inconsistent water-level readings. The plant shut down automatically Thursday.
