Two people were slightly injured when monorail cars collided at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds. Fair officials said Soon Ja Kim and Frederick Johnson were struck by falling debris when one car rear-ended another that was stopped at the race track grandstand--a mishap almost identical to one that occurred in the late summer of 1980. Fair spokesman Bill Arballo said the system is designed so that all cars should stop when one does, and cause of the apparent failure is under investigation.
