Some cable television subscribers in San Dimas will begin paying more for the service Nov. 1, but most will actually pay less, according to representatives of Foothills Cablevision. Last week, the City Council approved a rate increase from $9 and $11 for basic service to a flat $12.95, but simultaneously approved a reduction of per-channel charges. J. B. Bush, operations manager of the Upland cable firm, said savings on per-channel charges will outweigh the higher service charge for for about 60% of his firm’s San Dimas subscribers.
