Alemany Defeats Immaculate Heart

Consistency was the key to the Alemany girls volleyball team’s win over Immaculate Heart Wednesday in the San Fernando Valley League opener for both teams. Alemany scored 12-15, 15-6, 10-15, 17-15, and 15-11, in games punctuated with fine performances by Jennifer Kroll and Cindy Carlson.
Kroll was responsible for seven blocks, a kill and an ace, while Carlson had nine blocks and one kill. The win left Alemany 2-2 overall and Immaculate Heart 1-2. Alemany plays host to Bell-Jeff (2-1) tonight at 6:30.
