Woodbury University, a downtown Los Angeles fixture (earlier as Woodbury College) since 1884, has opened escrow on a 22.4-acre property in Burbank, where the school plans to build and open a campus in a couple of years, according to Wayne L. Miller, president of the school and president of the newly formed Center City West Associates.
“We plan to build and renovate 100,000 square feet (of office and classroom space),” Miller said, “and we may maintain our current location, but that is yet to be decided.”
The Burbank site now houses the Lutheran High School and was previously occupied by an academy of the Catholic Church. Escrow is due to close by Dec. 15.
