Los Angeles police have identified a 4-year-old pedestrian and a 24-year-old motorcyclist killed in a rush-hour collision at a Panorama City intersection Monday.
Officer Larry Rumple said the child, Jenny Rodriguez, was found dead at the scene of the 6:30 p.m. accident at Van Nuys Boulevard and Osborne Street. She and baby sitter Eloisa Espinoza were struck by a motorcycle driven by Robert Earl Lockskin. All three were from Pacoima.
Lockskin apparently tried to pass a car that had stopped to let Rodriguez and Espinoza cross the street, Rumple said.
After hitting the pedestrians, Lockskin struck two parked cars on Van Nuys Boulevard, Rumple said. He was pronounced dead Monday night at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Espinoza, 30, was treated for a broken right leg at Holy Cross Hospital, then transferred to County-USC Medical Center, where she is in fair condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.
