Legislation providing $750,000 to help finance a Japanese-American history museum in Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo district has been signed by Gov. George Deukmejian. The bill, SB 1452, sponsored by Sen. Art Torres (D-Los Angeles), authorizes the funding, contingent on the city putting up its own $1 million.
