Irvine Valley Soccer Team Defeats USC

The Irvine Valley College men’s soccer team defeated USC, 5-0, in a nonconference match at IVC on Saturday. Scott O’Dell scored two goals and Steve Young, Daryll Dang and Ken Bowen had one apiece. IVC’s first South Coast Conference game will be against Rancho Santiago College on Friday in Irvine.

The Golden West College men’s soccer team tied Fullerton, 1-1, to leave both teams tied for third place in the Golden West Soccer Cup at Huntington Beach on Saturday. El Camino College won the four-team tournament by defeating Los Angeles Mission, 1-0, in the final.
