Pittsburgh Pirate Manager Chuck Tanner told his coaches that because of the uncertainty of the team’s future ownership they should look for other jobs after the 1985 season.
The team has been up for sale since last November.
The Pirates’ coaching staff includes Willie Stargell, Grant Jackson, Bob Skinner, Steve Demeter, Milt Graff and Rick Peterson.
Tanner also doubted that he would return next season.
