Archive Corp., a Costa Mesa-based maker of back-up computer tape drives Monday said it signed sales contracts totaling $10.1 million with four California-based companies.
Company officials said Lancore Technologies , of Westlake Village, has agreed to purchase $5 million worth of Archive’s -inch Scorpion tape drives over the next two years.
A second firm, CONTEL CADO of Torrance, agreed to renew a two-year sales agreement worth $2 million, while two other companies, Anthem Systems of Scotts Valley and Corona Data Systems of Newbury Park, signed contracts with Archive worth $1.6 million each.
The tape drives manufactured by five-year-old Archive provide back-up storage for Winchester disk drives used with IBM personal computers.
