Pierre Mondou, who had 194 goals and 262 assists in nine seasons with the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens, announced his retirement in Montreal. Mondou, who injured his left eye last season, will stay with the Canadiens as an assistant coach with the Verdun Juniors.
