SAN DIEGO — High-scoring Lincoln High School, the No. 4 team in The Times’ Top 10, has forfeited two of its three victories.
The Hornets thus became the third county team, and the second in the Top 10, to be hit by forfeits this season.
Lincoln used an ineligible player in its first two victories, the 56-8 win over Centennial and the 41-10 win over Patrick Henry (2-2). The Hornets did not use the player when they beat Kearny (2-2), 41-12, last Friday.
Earlier this season, No. 8 Bonita Vista (3-1) and Clairemont (1-3) suffered forfeits.
