School Bill Veto

Thumbs up for Assemblywoman Maxine Waters’ (D-Los Angles), introduction of a bill requiring periodic classroom teaching assignments for school administrators and thumbs down for Gov. George Deukmejian’s veto of the bill.
As a former classroom teacher, I have never known of an “overworked” administrator, and most of them have been out of the classroom far too long.
Deukmejian’s claim that it would cost too much is just plain nonsense.
I hope Assemblywoman Waters tries again.
