Deng and Ceausescu Meet

PEKING — Visiting Romanian President Nicolae Ceausescu met Wednesday with Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping, who described ties between the two Communist nations as “better than average.” Ceausescu presented Deng with a red sash and gold medallion.
