‘Promotion’ of Margaret Heckler

I know that President Reagan believes most of us are gullible, but his statement on Margaret Heckler is just too much!
She had said publicly that she did not want the ambassadorship and Reagan says, “She has done a fine job at HHS.” If so, why ask her to change? We need people doing fine jobs.
And so, at a salary cut of $16,000 a year, he gives Heckler a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone! Oh, for the luck of the Irish!
