A 23-year-old man was found shot to death Thursday morning in a second-floor room of a downtown hotel, police said.
The body of Juan Manuel Ortega was found in a room at the Montrose Hotel, 171 4th Ave. He had been shot in the chest with a shotgun, police said.
A short time later police arrested Dan Gordils, 23, who lived in the room, on suspicion of murder.
Ortega was a resident of a first-floor room in the hotel.
