Arizona State University officials said they had been notified by the Pacific 10 Conference of an inquiry regarding their basketball program.
It is alleged that at least one former Arizona State player allegedly received extra money for off-season jobs and that two others reportedly were furnished with transportation or use of a school car for their jobs. The players’ names weren’t disclosed. Bob Weinhauer was fired as head coach last July for reasons not disclosed by school officials.
