Investigation Continues in Sepulveda Slaying

An investigation into the shooting death of a 25-year-old man whose body was found in the backyard of a Sepulveda residence continued Sunday, Los Angeles police said.
The victim, who was shot in the back, was identified by homicide detectives as Victorino Tarango. The dead man’s address was not known, police said.
Tarango was shot about 5:45 a.m. Saturday at the rear of a gas station at Roscoe Boulevard and Columbus Avenue, Officer Charles Stropko said. The victim ran several feet north on Columbus before he collapsed and died at 8383 Columbus Ave., Stropko said. Police said they have come up with no motive or suspects in the killing.
