The Teamsters Union, which last week rejected a tentative agreement that could have ended Philadelphia’s 44-day newspaper strike, will vote again on the pact this week, the union local’s president said. Jim Donahue, president of Teamsters Local 628, one of nine unions striking the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News, said a meeting would be called for this week and said he thought the Teamsters would approve the pact this time. In all, 4,700 full- and part-time workers are on strike.
