Body of Slain Man Found Near Newhall

The body of a man who had been shot several times was found Thursday morning along a roadway in the Newhall area, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman said.
The identity of the man, who was about 30 years old, was not released pending notification of relatives.
The body was found along Sierra Highway about three-quarters of a mile south of San Fernando Road, Sgt. Irene McReynolds said.
