Water Polo Roundup : Sommer’s 5 Goals Lead Rancho Santiago

Charles Sommer scored five goals Friday to lead the Rancho Santiago College water polo team to a 12-8 Inland Conference win over host Fullerton.
The win was the 10th straight for the Dons (5-0 in conference and 18-1 overall), who are ranked first in the state.
Marc Young added three goals for Rancho Santiago and Rolland Hill and Rick Stephan each scored twice to lead the Hornets.
In South Coast Conference action:
Cypress 10, Pasadena City 4--Brent Parenteau scored three goals and Charlie Pierce and Brian Howe added two each to lead the Chargers past the Lancers at Cypress. Cypress is 1-4 in conference.
In nonconference action:
USC JV 20, Chapman 3--Joe Bell and John Strait each scored six goals to lead the Trojan JV team (16-3) to an easy win over the host Panthers. Carter Faber scored twice for Chapman (2-12).
