A woman body builder who apparently was mistaken for a man by Anaheim police filed a $10-million lawsuit against the city of Anaheim and Officer Charles Knight. Teagan Clive’s U.S. District Court suit alleges that Knight violated Clive’s civil rights by placing her in a chokehold. The incident occurred April 20, when Knight allegedly entered a women’s restroom at the Anaheim Convention Center and, apparently mistaking Clive for a man, asked her for identification. According to the officer’s report, she became abusive and he was forced to subdue her. On Oct. 6, Clive, 29, was arrested at her Venice home on a warrant issued by Anaheim police, charging her with misdemeanor charges of assault, battery and resisting arrest.
