KEY PLAYS
St. John Bosco quarterback Jim Sterner set the first-half tone by running 70 yards for a touchdown on the third play of the game. . . . Dennis Mason ran three yards for Alemany’s first TD with 5:21 left in the third quarter making it 19-7. . . . Linebacker Greg Garcia blocked a St. John Bosco punt and Larry Muir pitched to Troy Vigil who ran 60 yards to score with 3:14 left. . . . A minute later, Braves’ back Oscar Meza broke a 59-yard TD run securing the Braves lead at 25-14. . . . Thirty seconds later Alemany’s Travis Bargeman caught Sean Casey’s 67-yard TD pass.
KEY PLAYERS
Quarterback Jim Sterner (SJB) rushed for 137 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries. The sophomore also threw a 14-yard touchdown pass. Running back Oscar Meza (SJB) rushed for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns on 21 carries. Quarterback Sean Casey (A) completed eight of 20 for 145 yards and one touchdown. Linebacker David Casillas (A) led the Indian defense with a recovered fumbleand a pair of quarterback sacks. Tailback Dennis Mason (A) rushed for 57 yards and one TD.
