Vietnam Releases 150 Thai Fishermen

BANGKOK, Thailand — A Fisheries Department official said Saturday that 150 Thai fishermen returned home from Vietnam after serving jail terms of up to two years on charges of violating Vietnamese territorial waters.
The group returned Friday and another 154 fishermen were scheduled to fly back to Bangkok today, said the official, who insisted on anonymity.
The Fisheries Department official said Vietnam is still holding 249 Thai fishermen.
