Holiday

I have recently taken notice of something that appears to me to border on the ludicrous.
We, all Americans, have a designated holiday on Nov. 11 each year called “Veterans Day.”
I have been employed in the metropolitan basin about 30 years and have never had “Veterans Day” as a holiday. In fact, I have taken notice that all banks are closed, all public agencies are closed, schools are closed, yet 9 out of every 10 veterans are at work in the industrial and retail community.
What I would propose is that Congress change the name of this holiday to be more accurately portray the purpose for which this holiday is intended. “Bureaucracy Day!”
