Police evacuated an Anaheim restaurant while the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad examined a suspicious package reported at Uncle Gee’z restaurant. Anaheim Police Lt. Roger Baker said the manager of the restaurant at La Palma Avenue and State College Boulevard telephoned police shortly after 8 p.m. A customer in the restaurant, who reportedly had acted suspiciously and had not eaten his food, left a briefcase behind. The area was cordoned off for two hours, but the briefcase, Baker said, contained nothing unusual.
