Major Networks to Air Reagan, Gorbachev Talks

NEW YORK — The major television networks today will broadcast the recorded New Year messages of President Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail S. Gorbachev.
The messages, which run up to five minutes each, will be broadcast at 10 a.m. PST on ABC, CBS, NBC and the Cable News Network.
CBS spokesman Michael Silver said Tuesday that the messages will be aired during the Rose Bowl parade in a 15-minute program anchored by Charles Kuralt.
