Long Beach Women Face Old Dominion

The Cal State Long Beach women’s basketball team, coming off a win over Oregon Friday night, will play host to defending national champion Old Dominion today at 5 p.m. at Long Beach.
In the 92-78 victory over Oregon, the fourth-ranked 49ers were led by junior Cindy Brown, who scored a career-high 38 points. Brown is averaging 23 points and 10 rebounds a game for Long Beach (8-1).
Carol Brandt, whose 21 points Friday night were a career high, is averaging 12.9 points and 6 rebounds for the 49ers.
Old Dominion (5-4) has been beset with injuries this season and lost a rugged game to USC, 89-76, at Riverside Friday night.
