Testimony in the alien-smuggling conspiracy trial of 11 sanctuary movement activists resumed in Tucson after a holiday break with a government informant defending his earlier testimony that the refugees were merely seeking better jobs and not fleeing political persecution. Two Roman Catholic priests, a nun, a Presbyterian minister and seven church lay workers are charged with conspiring to illegally smuggle Guatemalans and Salvadorans into the United States.
