Four youths were arrested for allegedly shooting at an off-duty Los Angeles police officer as he jogged through Elysian Park. The officer, Steven Wesselink, 39, was not hurt. He allegedly saw his assailants with a gun on a nearby hillside, police said. Seven patrol cars and a helicopter converged on the area and the youths were apprehended about 20 minutes later. No weapon was recovered. The youths were not immediately booked pending questioning by detectives.
