UCLA Women Lose to San Diego St., 96-77

SAN DIEGO — Shelda Arceneaux scored a career-high 35 points and added 14 rebounds Tuesday night to lead San Diego State past UCLA, 96-77, in a nonconference women’s basketball game at Peterson Gym.
UCLA trailed, 42-40, at halftime before Arceneaux scored 10 straight points early in the second half to help the Aztecs pull away. San Diego State improved to 9-8 with the win. UCLA, which was led by Anne Dean’s 24 points, fell to 9-11.
