Arrest in Store Burglary: A 23-year-old Santa Ana man was arrested and about $16,000 worth of stereo and video equipment recovered early Friday after the burglary of an El Toro electronics store, an Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said. Lt. Bob Rivas said Eugene Smith was arrested on suspicion of burglary, receiving stolen property and auto theft. Rivas said deputies heard an alarm go off about 4:19 a.m. Friday at Pacific Stereo, 24280 Swartz Drive, and stopped a car with the headlights off. Two occupants escaped, but Smith was arrested.
