What has happened to the writing on “St. Elsewhere”? The subjects covered on the Jan. 8 show and previous episodes involved sympathy for illegal aliens, strong anti-abortion arguments with the bombing of an abortion clinic, and the discovery of a bomb in the hospital. There were pro-abortion arguments, but they were very weak and played down. There was a boy shown insulting his mother and carrying a switchblade knife (a felony) and picking his teeth with the knife. I was so disgusted that I turned off the TV after less than a half-hour. They have lost me as a viewer.
