CS Northridge Falls Short in the Ninth

Point Loma Nazarene weathered eighth- and ninth-inning rallies by Cal State Northridge to defeat the Matadors, 6-5, Friday.
Northridge took the lead in the second inning after a two-run homer by Todd Mustin, who was 3 for 4 in the game. Point Loma tied the score in the third inning, then scored three runs in the sixth and another in the seventh.
In the ninth inning, the Matadors could manage only one run and left two men on base.
Northridge is 2-1 in preseason.
