Interior Designer Volunteers to Aid Planned Parenthood

Seven members of the American Society of Interior Designers have volunteered their services to adapt the 50-year-old headquarters of Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles to present-day needs.
The society’s community service committee has chosen Planned Parenthood-World Population, Los Angeles as the beneficiary of the 1986 community service project. The headquarters building at 1920 Marengo St., East Los Angeles, has 10,000 square feet on two stories and will include executive offices, clinic, library, educational facilities and a computer center.
Serving on the design team will be Albert H. Carey, Susan Gardner, Charles H. Fabish, Fernando Diaz, Jerry Alsobrook, Douglas Hiatt, and William F. McWhorter.
