Du Pont plans to build a plant in South Korea.

The Delaware-based chemicals giant plans to build a titanium dioxide plant in South Korea with a total investment of $150 million, a company spokesman said. An application for approval of the investment has been sent to the Korean Finance Ministry. The plant, to be located at Yochon Industrial Estate 210 miles south of Seoul, will eventually have an annual capacity of 60,000 tons, the spokesman said. Titanium dioxide is a raw material for pigments used by plastic, paper and paint industries, the spokesman said.
