A dozen small earthquakes shook the Imperial Valley town of Brawley, but police said there were no reports of injury or damage. Caltech spokesman Dennis Meredith said most of the temblors were too small to measure or locate accurately, but the largest--which measured 3.4 on the Richter scale--was centered two miles southwest of Brawley.
